Inside the Firaxis summer outing at Camden Yards! See how our team celebrated a Baltimore Orioles win with family, ballpark treats, and even a few foul balls.

At Firaxis, the annual summer outing is that time of year when Firaxians and their families can come together, relax, and celebrate all of the amazing things the teams have been working on.

This year, nearly 200 Firaxis employees and their families went down to Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore to watch the Baltimore Orioles face off against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Camden Yards is a must-see for any sports fan coming through Baltimore. This "retro ballpark" was completed in 1992, but shied away from the more modern sport complexes that were popular at the time to instead pay homage to the classic aesthetics that America's past time was built upon.

Although Firaxis is made up of fans (and non-fans) from all over - Orioles, Yankees, Pirates, etc - nothing brings people together quite like enjoying hot dogs and cold drinks together on a summer afternoon at the ballpark.

And of course, those ice cream sundaes in the little ball cap cups, which were absolutely necessary under the heat of the summer sun.

At least two Firaxians were lucky enough to take home a foul ball – both for the first time! Steve Martin, Firaxis President and Studio Head, caught his first ball after attending games for over 10 years. Not to be outdone, 10-year-old Riley got her own foul ball as well.

At the end of the day, the Orioles beat the Rays 11 to 5, and the Firaxis crew was able to celebrate the home team victory together under the blistering sun.
