Unfortunately we can't accept unsolicited game ideas from fans. This policy not only protects you and your ideas, but Firaxis Games and its staff members. Any unsolicited materials regarding game concepts will be deleted or destroyed immediately by Firaxis Games.

I've heard that Firaxis now owns the rights to classic Sid Meier titles. When can we expect to see them again?
Answer :
Firaxis is proud to own legacy IP that was created by Sid Meier, Jeff Briggs, and many other Firaxis team-members during earlier periods in their careers. These titles include; Sid Meier's Pirates!®, Colonization®, Covert Action®, Gunship®, Silent Service®, CPU Bach®, F19 Stealth Fighter®, and F15 Strike Eagle®. Keep checking the Firaxis Games website. When we need new Beta Testers we will send an announcement through our newsletter so please sign up here, or you can check our site periodically for news and information on beta testers. Beta Testers from 18 countries around the world participate in the testing of CIV IV, to be released in November 2005.

Answer :
These games were published many years ago and unfortunately out of print and unavailable through retailers. We suggest that you try online resources such as Google and eBay. Firaxis has never published or carried inventory of these products.

The download for "product X" demo/patch keeps stalling out on me! Can you help me?
Answer :
If the file is not located on our site, there is not much we can do to assist you. If you're looking for a specific Firaxis Games product demo, please visit our Downloads Page, or try other locations such as FilePlanet or GameSpot. They usually have our latest demos. If you are downloading a file from the Firaxis Games website, chances are there that are just too many people downloading the same file simultaneously. For almost every file on our site, we've added outside mirror sites that you can try instead. If you wish to host any of our files, please send an email to: Webmaster@firaxis.com. Put "File Download Hosting" in the subject line. and we'll add you to our mirror list.

Question :
Is Firaxis going to make any more civil war games?
Answer :
We currently have no plans to make another Civil War game, but are open to the possibility at some point in the future. The latest release in our "Great Battle Series" is Sid Meier's Civil War Collection. It's a compilation of Gettysburg, Antietam, and the new South Mountain scenarios all on one CD-Rom. People who already own Antietam can go here and download the South Mountain scenarios for free.
