Steve's tenure in the business and finance areas of the computer gaming industry began in 1993. A native Marylander, Steve graduated from Loyola College with a Major in Accounting and an MBA in Finance. Steve also attended the US Army Finance School and received a Certificate in Public Accountancy.
Steve served as a business consultant to Firaxis in its first six years. He joined full-time in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer, and recently took the helm as President of Firaxis Games. Prior professional experiences include serving as Chief Financial Officer at Absolute Quality, Inc., a multi-national game-testing company, and as Division Controller at MicroProse, Inc., where he met Sid and Jeff. Steve was honored by the Baltimore Business Journal as one of its 40-under-40 outstanding business leaders in 2003.
Steve’s Game History:
Steve worked as CFO of Absolute Quality, which tested hundreds of games on various platforms by major publishers. He has worked at Firaxis during the last three development cycles, overseeing the launch of all of Firaxis’ latest hit titles.
