Steve Martin Photo The Revolution Begins Spring 2008!
Steve Martin, President, Firaxis Games

We had an exciting week at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany last month where we showed off Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution for the international gaming media. We're happy to report that people loved what they saw and the buzz and enthusiasm coming out of the show is at a fever pitch.

If you haven't already heard, Civilization Revolution is a brand new Civ experience that Sid and our team at Firaxis are creating from the ground up for the Xbox 360, PS3, DS (to be released Spring 2008) and Wii (to be released Fall 2008). It will have all of the elements and addictive gameplay qualities of the hugely popular Civ series on the PC, but will be built to take advantage of the processing power and graphical capabilities of the latest consoles.

Did You Know...

The Civ IV: Beyond The Sword Charlemagne demo replaces the barbarian unit with a dinosaur unit exclusive to the demo. And yes, having dinosaurs rampaging through your capital brings a slightly different perspective to the game. Interested? You can download it from GameSpot, or install it from the latest PC Gamer CD.
